Just not too long after the release of SP1,1 yr perhaps. Now the SP2 is out here,it’s hardly a sweet point to consumers as Windows 7 is also going to be released.Windows Vista SP2 will features several improvements including Windows Search 4.0 for faster and improved relevancy in searches, the Bluetooth 2.1 Feature Pack, ability to natively record data on Blu-ray media and Windows Connect Now (WCN) to simplify WiFi configuration. Are you lured in?We may guess it’s not!XD

Hello admin-
My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. I want to make a quick comment on something you said in this post, specifically “Now the SP2 is out here, it’s hardly a sweet point to consumers as Windows 7 is also going to be released.” It is important for a company like Microsoft to keep developing new technologies for its customer base, hence the development of Windows 7. At the same time, it is important to make sure the needs of all of its customers are covered. To do this, Service Packs are made to address the needs of consumers running previous versions of Windows. I imagine those who are planning on sticking with Vista will be pleased with SP2, and those who are excited about Windows 7 will be equally excited when it becomes available.

Yupe, frankly as you said It is important for a company like Microsoft to keep developing new technologies for its customer base, hence the development of Windows 7. At the same time, it is important to make sure the needs of all of its customers are covered. But the roll out of Windows 7 is undoubtedly the little new Windows Vista,So this is my speculations on this article.
Hence, the confusion for user who choosing Windows 7 and Vista will take places.=)
Btw,I’m glad to receive more comments regards on the writings.
Thanks.
By the time Windows 7 is released, there will be even more time for consumers to become knowledgeable on the differences between the two OS’s. As you pointed out however, I never thought about how SP2 and Windows 7, with their closer proximity in release dates than Vista (sans SP1) and Windows 7, could be a source of greater confusion. Opening up the conversation like you have in your blog is one way that will hopefully make the differences and similarities more clear to those who do not really know what it means to release a new OS while still supporting a previous one.
