Before we delve into the review, let me elaborate further regards of lancool.A company of Lianli, lancool makes steel chasis with somehow a new image behalf with Lianli’s fans.In this post,we got the full spec model PC-K62 on the testbed.
Why did I mentioned full spec?Because Lancool has 3 variants for the same offering, there are PC-K58,60 and followed by the 62.The differences between the 3 variants are the upper 140mm fans thus PC-K62 has a dual 140mm blue led fans, while the 60 has a dual 140mm but with no led lights, and the very humble 58 without any 140mm fans at the top.the PC-K62 is a mid tower ATX chasis which has a bottom contemporary PSU mount with unique steel mounting bracket.
The highlights for the PC-K62 is the convenience to install a PSU,HDD,CD/DVD drive without the need of using screw driver.Besides, the top dual 140mm fans provides an efficient air flow as the heat are more easily to dissipate in the principal of heat is lighter than cold air.Further, the HDD rays have rubber modules to prevent vibration ,substantially reduces the noises and shakes of HDDs.
| Measurement | 214mmx496mmx498mm(Wide x Length x Height) |
| Bay | 5.25″(5) 3.5″(4) 2.5″(4) |
| PCI Slots | 8 |
| Front I/O Ports | USB2.0(2) Audio Jack Mic/Spc(1) |
| Additional Features | HDD Rubber Module,With Cable Clamp,Integrated Vent Airfilters |
We installed an ATX motherboard into the chasis without any problems, they provided 2 different of thumb screws, the shorter one is specially made for screwing cramped spots around Ram dimms,I/O port. While the longer screws are for the else, screwing in the thumb screws using fingers,it’s needless to use a screwdriver though. The package came is packed with some HDD rubber modules, thumb screws, cable clamp, psu bracket, buzzer, conventional bays mounting screws(Optional Usage),and a 3Pin to 4Pin fan power converter.
The inbuilt fans are using 3pins power cord, thus they must have to be connected to the motherboard’s power pins in order to get worked.Since the chasis came with 4 fans,so the ports are not adequate,in this case they only provided with only one (3pins to 4 pins)converter which is barely enough.
Graphics card can be easily mounted in the PCI-slot without the need of unscrewing,PC-K62 has a convenient slot locker.
Curve vents for better air flows, the top 140mm fans play an important role to dissipate heats.
The front cover can be removed without any hassle,no screws!Another 140mm fan is in located in the front to ventilate air flows.
Fans are made by Lianli.
The PSU is locked in the bracket and ready to go!We dont need a screw, however users can choose to screw the PSU unit if they wanted to.
Water cooling holes for the enthusiasts.
There are 2 locks for optical drive’s mount, the rest are required to be installed with screws.
The HDD cage is required for screws, but slotting into the bay is needless.
HDD cage slotted in with rubber wheels.
The clamp is used for better wires management.
The vent filter at the bottom of PSU mount.
A little bit of plasticky front panel, and where is the firewire port?
The PC-K62 is slightly higher than my Smilodon, both of them look beautiful in dark.
| User Friendliness | 10/10 |
| Bundled Tools | 7/10 |
| Chasis Built | 10/10 |
| I/O Ports | Lack of IEE 1394 |
| Bays | Only 2 slot lockers |
| Testbed Idle Temperature | 29′c |
Conclusion
As overall, the K series is dubbed as the steel series offered by Lianli, the PC-K62 has perfectly fits for most enthusiast as the present of water cooling holes.Besides that, running on Crossfire/SLI setups are none of an issue. We are quite satisfied with the idle temperature for PC-K62 as it’s 29′c which is nothing much different than the room temperature, sadly we do not have a crossfire/SLI setup to test on it.Basically,PC-K62 is a great case for the demanded professionals as well as enthusiasts.Screwless option is definitely a complimented feature which we are pleased with.
Meantime, there are several drawbacks we felt that they can improve from. The absent of IEE 1394 at the front panel is definitely a problem for DV and external HDD users, they might want to use the back I/O panel in order to connect their devices.Second, the package came with considerably less 3pins converter, users whom using 3rd party cooler for their northbridge might experience the lack of power cord. When came to the bays,we are wondering that why aint they make all the bays built with slot locker instead of 2 optical bays only?
8/10

It’s an very good Cabinet because Cabinets come with good cooling solutions, cable management ring and something we want to mention that perhaps the best tool-free assembly solution. Enclosure comes with side window and glowing fans, and it should have very good space. At the same time it’s front is well perforated, so it is much air being sucked in here. Dust filters are in place, along the whole front. Cabinet stands on rubber feet, but make sure you do not go enclosures along the substrate it is on. We experienced the fact that it set up solid black marks. It was fortunately easy to get this out.Accordign to me this please read out this http://www.techarena.in/review/11622-lancool-pc-k62-cabinet.htm
The case looks good, I am considering this casing, until I saw the other case next to the PC-K62,

mind sharing what is the case brand and model?
@Triple
The chasis next to PC-K62 is my Raidmax Smilodon Dirk-Tooth,costs around what PC-K62 selling. But I am not sure whether it’s discontinued, btw thanks for the admiration for admin’s chasis lol.=P
Great case, solid construction and design. Lian Li never disappoint. Anti-vibration fan, psu and hdd design. Smildon is nice too but from my experience it doesn’t match the quality and features of the K58 or K62. Cable routing is extremely easy and exceptional with Lian Li. I wouldn’t recommend it if you wanted to run a full liquid cooling system however.
