Isn’t that annoyed when you’re getting 2 black bars while watching your favourite x264 movies,and sometimes pan-zooming it will results video quality deterioration.That’s why 16:9 monitors are better for movies.Even though,I am not used to 16:9 displays in my desktop as I have used to 16:10 standards working in my work desk.This post we have got a 23inch price warrior from a prominent manufacturer-Samsung.
Nothing different than its siblings,the 2333SW is made of high gloss piano finish and its plastic-glass bezel,regardless of the recycle idea we deemed that it looks pretty sophisticated.However scratches are high visible when there is any glitches when handling the monitor,with a whopping 1:50000 dynamic contrast ratio and 5 ms response time,it definitely viable for any gamers and movie maniacs.
And here we’d like to elucidate that manufacturer frequently playing with dynamic contrast ratio tricks which actually really depends in real time.For CCFL LCD panels,LCD panels are usually not exceeding 1:1000 in native contrast ratio,while dynamic contrast ratio is just a trick which widely played by many LCD manufacturers,in this case it’s same as the response time trick.1 or 2 deviation is nothing big deal,you wont experience any ghosting in due of that.
Stingy package came with no DVI cable,the orange flower thingy is used for cable management which is seriously an additional needs for customers.

Like conventional samsung monitors,picture quality is none of a doubt as well as its appearance, packed with 23inches 16:9 aspect ratio panel,users may enjoy their titles without the present of black bars or stretching.The complimentary blue illumination light adds some bonus marks for user from choosing it,the absent of HDMI input is acceptable as it does not came with any speakers.
Here is just some rants for Samsung,we demand for better accessories within the package,we got no DVI cables provided in the package,thus we got only the Molex cable and a humble VGA connector.Others are just fine as it should,the Samsung 2333SW is a great bargain among the 23inches gallery.We’d recommend this monitor for frugal consumer as it’s pretty impressive in price vs performance ratio.=)
