Since netbooks are small and cheap enough, manufacturers are competing in numerous aspect, and here we’d like to elucidate the appearance of a netbook.Thereby,HP makes their mininote looks exuberantly nice.White floral vibes scribed in a pink steel cover, regardless amounting some acceptable weight but turn out a very exquisite look.In this 110 series,it has 3 design variants,Pinky-floral,Alphine-white,and followed by matte black.
Here,I would not elaborate what’s a netbook again, let’s delve into the in-depth of the mininote.

| Graphics Adapter | Intel GMA 950 |

First glimpse at the Mininote 110,it’s somewhat sturdy and light, weighting at 1.1kg despite not the lightest netbook among the street, but it’s considered light enough for ladies whom slop their computer into handbags. When comes to built,it’s pretty impressive, the lid is made of steel and it’ll not loosen as the heels are made of steel mechanism, furthermore LCD panel is anti glare type(Aka Matte type),it’s optimized for user whom working under the fluorescent lights to prevent relections, instead of the glass panel display. In spite of matte display, the screen is indeed vibrant enough for video and web browsing.
HP are clever in utilizing cramped space, they made the left/rights button to the both side, which saves spaces instead of vertical placement. The trackpad is averagely comfortable,HP could improve in making matte trackpads instead of glossy ones.Practically, glossy surfaces are not pleasant for fingers’ gesture and scrolling.
Typing keys are big and well isolated within others give more pleasures in typing, long nails and big thumbs users are welcomed in this aspect.Typing feedbacks are tactical and soft,we are satisfied with the keys.
Only numlock’s light is available in the mininote, nothing is more.
Hidden speakers are at the bottom of screen, here’s a drawback. The speakers aint loud enough, but we somehow contemplate it’s a netbook,so it’s still acceptable.User might want to use external speaker or headphones for better sound experiences.
We got a VGA camera and an integrated mic at the top of sceen, video quality s hardly the best but it’s adequate for frugal users whom not contemplating degraded video experience in the internet messenger. We have snapped a sample shot for your reference, kindly look at the bottom.
Plenty of noises and blocks are noticeable in this picture.
We tried to load it with the Windows 7,it performed decently in handling basic tasks.
Conclusion
HP mininote is simply attentive for its fancy appearance, when comes to performance it performed solidly for its class. We even loaded it with Windows 7 and there are not much slowdowns and Windows Aero was enabled, the GMA 950 handled it well even undegone the 3D Flips.Viewing webs are enjoyable, the texts are sharp and clear to read even for uncle and aunties.Nevertheless,we experience several slowdowns when opening flash application such as youtube videos, java applications within the browser.
In the aspect of design,HP did not made any big mistakes,no heat issues here. But we did like to ask where is the volume ring?User might want to adjust the volume though a combination short key or a several clicks.Implementing a volume ring is definitely easier than other ways. When comes to battery,3 cells aint enough for long hours usage, user may only managed to surf for 3 hours,so HP could improve by providing 6cells others equivalent cell.
