Which literally the better way to experience android,here we are going to teach you how to actually run a Live-Android on your old USB flash disk,while we need an at least 256MB of memory to store the live android into it.
256MB of memory spaces are required for implementation of Live Android,we used a 1GB old thumbdrive instead.While for certain old pc whom do not have USB Storage boot option may not be able to boot with an USB disk,users might want to use Live CD to run it.
Steps
1. Download liveandroidv0.2usb.iso.001 + liveandroidv0.2usb.iso.002
- Use HJSplit to join both ISO files,these would eventually come out with the third ISO file by the production of the above 2 ISOs.
2. Check md5sum via http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/md5sums/ or http://www.pc-tools.net/files/win32/freeware/md5sums-1.2.zip
- In order to prevent corrupted files
3. Extract the files in the ISO into your flash disk,hence use UNetbootin(http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net) to make it as a LiveUSB.
- To make your flash disk bootable

Brief Review on Android
In our testbed,as Live Android is still new for booting in pc,thereby several of modern pc couldn’t boot with it.We tried using it on a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop,the flash disk managed to boot but returned to vain as it was stucked on the splash screen.
Fortunately we managed to test it on an old days AMD Athlon 64 pc,things just gone very fine on it.The only problem we faced is the inconvenience to take screen shots,therefore we chosen to snap with camera.Here,the CRT monitor is troublesome as camera’s shutter is not able to catch up with the refreshing rate.Finally,we barely managed to snap some photos.
We are welcomed by the Android logo,before glanced to the system’s desktop.
Sometimes old rigs are useful also,the AMD Athlon 2800+ with 1 GB of system memory saves the day!We are thrilling with Android now.
Tadaaaa!Android is in action,you get a Google search bar on the top of screen,seems to be very user friendly for Google Fans whom like to search.In this case,we couldn’t get to connect with the internet due to some driver issues.Nevertheless,we can get into the whole interface with the absent of camera,internet capabilities.
You get through into the menu by clicking the menu button at the left side in the desktop screen.Plethora of features and icons like what basic phones should have.The pixels are fine and nice despite viewing in a computer’s screen.Thumbs up!
